Dining & Menu
Good food - prepared to perfection
Meals are cooked in our own kitchen and served at the table, not on a tray.
Dining is the hour of the day when the house comes together.
Menus change with the season and with what the garden and the market offer.
Nothing is reheated from elsewhere; nothing arrives in a packet.
Dietary requirements are a matter of course rather than an inconvenience
— reduced salt, diabetic, soft and texture-modified diets are prepared
as carefully as anything else on the menu.
Families are welcome at the table by arrangement, and birthdays,
anniversaries and Sunday lunches are treated with the ceremony they deserve.
Three meals and tea times
Breakfast, lunch and dinner, with morning and afternoon tea in the drawing room or garden.
Seasonal menus
Written weekly, guided by the season, the garden and residents' own preferences.
Special diets
Medical and personal diets prepared in-house, with the same care as every other plate.
Occasions
Private lunches, family dinners and celebrations arranged in the dining room.
